PROPOSED CONSERVATION AND REUSE PLAN FOR DURBAR HALL BUILDING AT POONCH QILA

Poonch Qila is an important landmark of the historical Poonch city. The qila (fort) dates back to 16th century A. D. and is a witness to the various political phases of the area. A report for conservation of fort into a heritage centre depicting the rich socio-cultural and natural history of the region has been submitted to the Poonch District administration. The state government plans to restore the fort complex to its original architectural glory.
